Burden (2019)
Burden is a performance piece with iron sculptures cast from my own hands.
Over years, I’m more and more experienced in having a seemingly smaller face in pictures, due to the unceasing comments on the size of my face since middle school. Putting the gestures around my face over and over again, my hands feel like a separate part from my body. It’s a physical burden, as well as a cultural burden.
